Christopher established Great Brook Academy in 1995 and has been full time in emergency services for over 20 years. He brings years of knowledge and experience to the Academy. His skills also include firefighting with a municipal department, and Ski Patrolling.
Dr. Huckins joined the Great Brook Academy Board of Directors upon his retirement from New England College where he was a full professor of education. Dr. Huckins has a passion for education and helps to oversee and advise on Great Brook’s curriculum delivery and educational philosophies.
Louise joined the Great Brook Academy Board of Directors in 2020. She is a registered nurse and recently became a legal nurse consultant. She brings years of experience in the medical field and knowledge in analyzing medical records and risk management. As a Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor for over 10 years, she assists in teaching BLS classes at Great Brook Academy.
Tom has been with Great Brook Academy since 2018 as a former student and currently as an EMS Instructor. He has nearly 41 years of experience in the medical field as a combat medic, registered nurse, EMT and ski patroller/instructor. He is currently an emergency room nurse and a firefighter with a municipal fire department. Tom is a decorated retired Veteran of the U.S. Army and Veterans Administration. Tom’s commitment to education is demonstrated by his own is a lifelong learner as he is currently in a paramedic program.
