Dr. Huckins recently retired from a teaching career that spanned thirty-five years, including twenty-five years at the post-secondary level. He is also a U.S. Air Force veteran (1977-1981).

ACTIVITIES: Dr. Huckins enjoys squash, yoga, bicycle riding, and visiting his daughter in Washington, DC. He has published one book of poetry, Granite's Voice, and is currently at work on several other writing projects.
