This program reviews over various types of poisoning that EMS providers will encounter in the pre-hospital setting. It describes what providers should do for assessment and treatment for these patients. It further talks about various types of drugs and substances that are of concern and how they work chemically speaking. It finishes with a comparison of certain drugs to one another from a previous addict. This program contains 2 hours of Con-Ed credit for the student and is approved for distributive education through the NH Bureau of EMS.
