Great Brook Academy offers a variety of scholarships designed to help you and your family pay for your certification programs and training. Scholarships and grants are types of gift aid that do not have to be repaid. They may take the form of a Great Brook scholarship, or state grants, or outside scholarships.

State Grant Programs

At times, Great Brook Academy may partner with State offices and other state agencies and organizations to provide State funding opportunities to offset the cost of your certification program.

Private Scholarships

Great Brook Academy may partner with private companies and organizations to provide scholarships for certain kids of students or programs.

Requirements

The following are the guiding principles that Great Brook Academy utilizes and considers when awarding scholarships.

  • You are applying for a public safety certificate program or Community CPR Program
  • You have completed your online application in full and on time
  • Your primary residence is in an area of the state identified as an area in need of providers
  • You are able to demonstrate your financial need for scholarship support

About our Programs

Great Brook Academy’s non-profit mission is to provide opportunities for the residents of the State of New Hampshire to obtain certification programs which will, in turn, promote and bolster the number of licensed pre-hospital EMS providers around the state.  Our scholarship programs are designed to make that mission a reality for many more of our prospective students.  Financially, it can be difficult for students to meet the obligation of paying tuition for certification training.  Our application process vets out what Great Brook Academy thinks will be the most applicable students to receive financial support and funding to help them obtain their certification.  ultimately, these students will become a part of the pre-hospital emergency medical system and provide much needed medical care to the residents of our state.

How to Apply

Prospective students should select the scholarship program they are interested in and submit our online application for review prior to the start of their program.  Great Brook Academy’s scholarship review committee will take all applications into consideration and awards will be based on how well students meet the specific criteria of the program for which they have applied.  Awards will be made directly to off set student tuition.  In cases where students may have already paid tuition in full, awards will be made directly to the student as reimbursement.

Any anticipated Educational Resources, paid directly to you or to Great Brook Academy on your behalf, is your legal responsibility to report.

Scholarships Offered

Pre-Hospital EMS Certificate Scholarship Program

This scholarship is intended for those students seeking to become certified as Emergency Medical Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, or Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians. These students will ultimately provide pre-hospital care as a licensed New Hampshire EMS provider within their communities from which they live or serve.

Veteran Scholarship

This program is intended for those students who have served in the Military or who are still currently serving and wish to pursue a career in emergency medical services. Veterans or military personnel are asked to provide documentation of active duty or honorable discharge from the military when applying for this grant opportunity.

Community CPR Initiative Scholarship Program

Great Brook Academy wants to create the next generation of bystanders who will save lives by initiating CPR during an emergency. This scholarship program enables students to learn the lifesaving skills of CPR in just one class period. Plus, it teaches AED use and choking relief. Great Brook Academy’s scholarship program offers financial assistance to community members within New Hampshire to get as many CPR certified people as possible. Great Brook wants to increase the chance of survival from a per hospital cardiac arrest event. By providing this important lifesaving certification course at a cost that is affordable to all, we believe we can make a difference.
